Why Foraging?

There are really only two reasons for leveling Foraging. One of those, is that Skyblock players get excited watching a number go up. The counters in question are, of course, the skill average and Foraging level counter itself. Furthermore, another reason for leveling Foraging is the Strength you get from each level, alongside the Skyblock XP, which can grant additional HP and strength.

Maximize Your Gains

There are a few things you should avoid and a few things you need. First of all, please get an Ocelot or Monkey pet. Your time is worth more than Skyblock coins. Second, try to lobby hop until the dark oak area is relatively empty, because the Young Dragon nons will be annoying you.

Tips and Tricks

• Choose the Right Axe: AKA, just get a Treecapitator. Do not use a jungle axe unless you can't afford a Treecap.
• Use Buffs Wisely: AKA, once again, just get a God Potion and Booster Cookie. Maybe a good axe reforge.
• Do something in the background: To avoid going insane, listen to something in the background. You will not tank through 100 hours of raw foraging. It is life draining.

Monkey Pet

If only the Monkey Pet is selected, the seconds per break goes to 3. Why? Because the Monkey Pet halves the cooldown of the Treecapitator, from 2 to three seconds. However, just because the Treecapitator cooldown is halved, doesn't mean the entire "downtime" is halved. The natural downtime applied of two seconds is still unaffected.

If both the Monkey pet and the Maximum Efficiency are selected, the seconds per break goes to 1. Why? Because the Monkey Pet halves the cooldown from two to one second, as explained before.

However, any additional downtime is removed. So no more 2 second downtime. That makes it just the one second cooldown.
